Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 27, 2026

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This policy explains what personal information PRPulse collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. PRPulse is a media monitoring service at prpulse.com, provided by Daily Buzz, LLC ("we", "us").

PRPulse is intended for customers in North America (the United States and Canada).

If your organization has a separate written agreement with us, that agreement also applies to the information you and your team put into PRPulse.

Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Your name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored only in hashed form, so we cannot read them.
  • Your organization and project names, your plan, and your role on your team.
  • If you sign in with an existing Daily Buzz account, we check your user name and password against that account. We do not keep a separate copy of that password.

Team Members and Invitations

When you invite a colleague, we store their email address, the role you gave them and the status of the invitation, and we email them an invitation link.

Billing Information

Payments are processed by Clover (Fiserv). You type your card number, expiry date, security code and ZIP code into fields hosted by Clover, so that card information goes directly to Clover and never reaches our servers. We send Clover your name and email address to set up your payment profile. We keep Clover's customer, subscription and charge reference numbers, your plan, the amounts and dates charged, and the name and email address on each billing record. We do not store your card number.

Your Monitoring Setup

The keywords, projects, searches, charts, page layouts, clip books, report schedules and alerts you set up, and the questions and instructions you give our AI features.

Information Customers Add About Other People

Customers can add other people's names, email addresses and organizations - for example, report recipients, alert recipients and address book contacts - and can send coverage to them by email. We use this information only to provide the service to that customer. If you receive email from PRPulse because a customer added you, please contact that customer, or contact us and we will pass your request on.

Media Coverage

To provide monitoring, we collect published online news, TV and radio broadcasts, podcasts and print coverage that match our customers' keywords, and we analyze it - for example, summaries, sentiment, and the people and organizations mentioned. This published content can include information about people named in it, such as journalists, spokespeople and public figures.

Usage, Device and Log Information

  • Server logs. When your browser or email program contacts our servers, the servers record technical details such as your IP address, the date and time, the address requested and your browser type.
  • Sign-in records. When you sign up, sign in, or reset or change your password, we record the event, your email address, whether it succeeded, your IP address and your browser type, to protect accounts. Each active sign-in session also records the IP address and browser it started from.
  • Performance monitoring. Our own monitoring records how pages load, errors, and which buttons are clicked, together with the page address and browser type. It is sent to our own servers, not to a third party, and it does not use cookies.
  • Product usage records. We keep records of the searches, chat questions and chart requests made in PRPulse, to troubleshoot and improve the service.
  • Website analytics. On our public pages we use Google Analytics, as described in "Cookies and Analytics" below.

Emails and Support

If you email us for support or sales, we keep your message and our reply. If you use our contact form, we use your name, email address and message only to reply to you. We send you service emails, such as email verification, password reset, team invitations, payment receipts and plan changes, usage warnings, and the reports and alerts you schedule.

How We Use Information

  • To create and run your account, sign you in, and keep your account secure.
  • To find, collect and analyze media coverage for your keywords and show it to you and your team.
  • To send the emails, reports and alerts you ask for.
  • To take payments and manage your subscription.
  • To answer your questions and provide support.
  • To monitor, troubleshoot and improve the service, and to understand how our website is used.
  • To prevent abuse and fraud - for example, free trials require a company email address.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not use your information to show you advertising.

AI Features

PRPulse uses AI models from third-party providers to analyze coverage and to power the coverage chat, the keyword assistant, the chart builder, and the insights in the app and in reports. For each task we send the provider the text it needs: your question or instructions, your keywords, and excerpts of the relevant coverage. We do not send your password or payment details, and we do not add your name or email address to these requests.

Under their terms for business customers of their APIs, these providers do not use the information we send them to train their models. Anthropic deletes it within 30 days and OpenAI keeps it for up to 30 days, in both cases unless longer retention is needed to enforce their usage policies or to meet legal requirements. Google keeps it for a limited period, only to detect misuse and for safety, security and legal reasons.

Cookies and Analytics

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics on our public pages. Google Analytics runs only on our public marketing and sign-in pages, never inside the signed-in app, and never receives page addresses that contain a private link code. Campaign tags in links (utm parameters) are reported to Google Analytics; other link parameters are not. For visitors in the United States it is on by default, with a one-time notice and an option to turn it off. We tell whether you are in the United States from your device's time-zone setting, which your browser reports to the page; we do not look up your IP address for this. A time zone outside the United States, or none, counts as outside the United States. For visitors elsewhere it runs only after you click Accept. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to turn it off, wherever you are. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and browser storage item we use.

Who We Share Information With

We share personal information only as needed to run PRPulse:

  • Payment processing. Clover (Fiserv) processes card payments and subscriptions, and Stripe will also process payments once we add it. Clover's payment form uses Google reCAPTCHA to detect fraud, so Google receives information from your browser while the payment form is open.
  • AI providers. Anthropic, Google (Gemini) and OpenAI, for the AI features described above.
  • Website analytics. Google, for Google Analytics on our public pages.
  • Email delivery. Microsoft (Microsoft 365), which carries the emails we send.
  • Email security. Proofpoint, which checks email sent to us, such as messages to info@prpulse.com, for security threats before it reaches our Microsoft 365 mailbox.
  • Bot protection. To protect our sign-up, password-reset and contact forms from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes information about your browser and connection (such as your IP address) only to tell people from bots, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
  • Media data providers. Some providers receive the search terms needed to find coverage - for example, TVEyes receives keywords for TV, radio and podcast monitoring. We do not send media data providers your account details. TV, radio and podcast clips play directly from TVEyes' servers, which then receive your IP address.
  • Your team and people you choose. Other members of your account can see shared projects, clip books and reports. Anyone who has a share link you create can view the item it links to without signing in. Reports and emails go to the recipients you choose.
  • Legal and safety. When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer to the new owner, who must keep protecting it under this policy.

PRPulse is operated from the United States, where we process information on servers we operate. Some of our service providers may also process it in other countries. When information is transferred across borders, we rely on safeguards required by applicable law.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and afterwards for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by writing to info@prpulse.com.

A few items work differently:

  • Sign-in sessions: a sign-in lasts up to 7 days and is extended while you use the service.
  • Coverage chat: a conversation is removed from your account when you delete it or after 30 days without use. We keep removed conversations so we can understand how the feature is used.
  • Chart builder requests: up to 12 months.
  • Google Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months, as set in our Google Analytics account.

When you delete an item in PRPulse, it disappears from your account straight away. We may keep a copy as described above.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our site, hashed passwords, and access controls on our systems. Card details are handled by Clover and never stored on our servers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy in a portable format;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, some uses of it;
  • withdraw consent where we rely on consent, such as analytics cookies outside the United States.

You can change your name and password in your account settings. For anything else, email info@prpulse.com. We will check that the request comes from the account holder, usually by replying to the email address on the account. We respond to privacy requests within 5 business days and complete them within the time the law requires. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Notice for California Residents

This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA). In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above:

  • Identifiers, such as name, email address, IP address and account ID.
  • Commercial information, such as your plan and payment history.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity, such as pages visited, clicks, browser type and use of PRPulse.
  • Professional information, such as your organization and your role on your team.
  • Approximate location: Google Analytics estimates your approximate location (such as city or region) from your IP address.
  • Sensitive personal information: your account login (email address and password), used only to sign you in.

We disclose these categories to the service providers listed in "Who We Share Information With", for the business purposes described in this policy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you a right to limit its use, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access, correct and delete it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out. To make a request, email info@prpulse.com. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to verify your identity.

Notice for Residents of Canada

If you are in Canada, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Send these requests, and any questions about how we handle personal information, to our privacy contact at info@prpulse.com. Your information is processed in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under United States law. The person in charge of the protection of personal information, including under Quebec law, is Jennifer Lee (jlee@prpulse.com). If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Visitors Outside North America

If you visit from outside North America, you can still contact us at info@prpulse.com with any privacy request.

Children

PRPulse is a business service and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, if the changes are significant, tell account holders by email or with a notice in PRPulse before they take effect.
